Recently, a news article/TV report by an investigative reporter based in Atlanta has claimed that Bravecto is responsible for 355 dog related deaths.  Cal West Pet Hospital Veterinarians have been using this product for flea and tick control since June of 2014 and have not had any problems with the product except for a very few cases of vomiting after receiving the product.  We recently did some investigating of our own and contacted both Merck, the company that manufactures Bravecto and also UC Davis dermatology department.  Merck reports that known serious adverse effects from the product are 1 in 10,000 and reports the product is safe for use in dogs.
